Outdoor lighting and audio brand Coastal Source announced a reimagined design services program for custom integrators that it said will make the sales process simpler and faster. Utilizing their in-house team of expert lighting and outdoor audio engineers, the design program will help accelerate turnaround times while helping partners “close with confidence.”
At the core of the program is what Coastal Source defines as a two-tier structure that’s intended to better support projects of any size and at any stage of the process. The restructured design program also features complimentary conceptual lighting and schematic audio diagrams, new tools to help integrators through those tough budget conversations, and premium design services that come complete with technical plans and professional visuals. Coastal Source explained that the design fees associated with the program will be credited back to the integrator at the completion of the project.
“As a design-driven company, we’re thrilled to continue sharing our expertise by offering this service to our partners to help them grow their business confidently,” Jon Bowman, Coastal Source Vice President of Design and Specification, said in a statement announcing the program. “We already have licensed architects, landscape architects, lighting designers, and sound engineers that we work with every day. We’re drawing upon the thousands of hours of practical experience of our authorized installers and licensed professional design partners, to help bring more projects to life.”
Integrators can get started with the program by filling out the Coastal Source Design Services form—available through the new Design Services portal—which asks for basic information to get things rolling, including planting schedule, power locations, photos of the property/area, and more. The turnaround time from there will be contingent on the various aspects of the requested design, but a project coordinator will be assigned from the outset to help navigate the process. To keep things moving even more efficiently, Coastal Source said it is now working closer with representatives in the local markets of its dealer base.
“Before we do anything, we take the time to view and understand a client’s needs and how they utilize their property,” Bowman explained. “As designers, our intention is always to accent the native charms of a landscape, while understanding the client’s unique desires and preferences for the specific space we’re working in.”Once the initial form is submitted, the Coastal Source design team steps in to begin managing and pushing progress forward by setting up appropriate calls and meetings. More info on the program is available through the Design Services portal.
