Swedish digital audio pioneer Dirac announced an expansion of their ongoing collaboration with Marantz and Denon that will bring their Dirac Live room correction technology to even more product. As of their announcement, Limited and Full versions of Dirac Live was pushed via software update to the Marantz MODEL M1 and Denon Home Amps.
The update marks the first streaming amplifiers from the brands to support the Dirac Live room correction technology.
“With this expanded collaboration with Marantz and Denon, Dirac is advancing its mission to bring audiophile-grade performance from the few to the many,” Fredric Tapper, Dirac’s Vice President and Head of Business Development, said in a statement. “Dirac Live has long been trusted by audiophiles and integrators, and now we’re making that same premium smart acoustics solution available to more listeners worldwide through the popular Marantz and Denon streaming amps.”
Dirac Live is a technology that can help effortlessly address acoustic challenges in a listening environment. Dirac explains that traditional hardware solutions would require significant time, expertise, or cost to achieve similar results. Dirac Live takes into account the entire audio system, including the room itself, to help analyze the acoustics, resulting in a “more transparent sound, tighter bass, improved staging, and enhanced clarity.”
The upgrade license for Dirac Live carries a price tag of $159 for the Limited Bandwidth room correction version or $249 for the Full Bandwidth version.
