Introducing Members of the First-Ever Residential Tech Today Advisory Board

An incredibly smart individual once told me that the best thing they ever did in their professional life was to surround themself with individuals who were a whole lot smarter than they were and who brought together diverse-yet-particular skill sets that allowed their organization to be highly effective. In an effort to learn from that person and apply that knowledge, I knew that when I came aboard here at Residential Tech Today, one of the first things I needed to do was surround myself with people a heck of a lot more knowledgeable than I am who can help me keep my finger on the pulse of this industry.

So, to that end, I’m thrilled to be able to introduce the four members of the first-ever Residential Tech Today Advisory Board. These individuals represent some of the best and brightest from across the custom integration channel. And, more than that, they’re people I’ve learned from and leaned on in different ways throughout my own career journey. Now, I selfishly get to bring them together as we work to shape the future of our coverage here at ResTech.

Josh Christian, CEO, Home Technology Association: After starting his career in the retail world, Josh quickly moved into the CI world. After nearly two decades working for and with CIs, Josh saw an opportunity to help integrators boost their own profiles while also enabling consumers to have confidence they’re choosing the right technology partner to work with. That’s where HTA steps in, offering certification opportunities for CIs and building bridges to other areas of the homebuilding and design community.

Stephanie Keough, VP of Member Engagement, ProSource: For over a decade, Stephanie helped shape the product assortment at one of the leading technology retailers and installers in not just the Philadelphia region, but nationally in World Wide Stereo. Earlier this year, after leaving her role as Chief Merchant Officer, she joined an organization that was close to the World Wide Stereo team in ProSource. There she now imparts her own knowledge of the group’s benefits on the existing membership.

Mitchell Klein, VP of Business Development, CEDIA: Mitch has a tremendous background that spans just about every corner of the CI channel. His expertise in crafting strategic alliances to help create adoption of technologies and systems is now on display at CEDIA, the CI channels flagship association, where he’s hard at work developing new opportunities and programs that’ll have a lasting impact on members and the industry.

Andy Orozco, SVP of Custom Integration, Nationwide Marketing Group: A trained communicator in his own right, Andy has played an integral role in building strong foundations and growth strategies at several CI buying groups, most recently with NMG, which is the parent company for Azione Unlimited, Oasys Residential Technology Group, and Ellipsys Commercial Technology Group.

This incredible group of individuals will have the opportunity to influence the editorial direction of ResTech by providing insights and input into just about every aspect of the publication. Their expertise will play a hand in informing the current and future editorial calendars for the magazine, shaping the types of content published and how the digital presentation is structured, and in sharing their own contributions to the publication. In addition, they’ll have the opportunity to serve as judges for the recently opened 2025 ResTech Innovation Awards program.

I, first and foremost, want to express my gratitude to each of them for willingly joining me on this journey and agreeing to spend time supporting what it is we’re trying to build here at ResTech. It means the world to have their support. I look forward to continuing to tap into their expansive knowledge bases and, truthfully, learning from each of them.

By no means would I ever consider myself to be the smartest person in any room. But by rubbing shoulders with the likes of this crew, I’ll at least be able to say I know some people who could certainly fit that bill.
