Announced earlier this year during CES 2025, LG Electronics provided additional detail this week on the forthcoming QNED evo line of TVs, which are available for preorder now and will begin shipping sometime this month in the Korean, U.S., and European markets.
Positioned within the “premium LCD TV segment,” LG said their QNED evo TVs bring a few features from the brand’s OLED lineup along with various color solutions, Mini LED technology, the latest Alpha AI processor, LG’s webOS platform, and more.
The official statement didn’t include specific pricing details, but a quick scan of the LG product page gave us that information. The line will range in size (and price) from a 55-inch model (for $899.99) up through a 100-inch class model ($4,999.99).
The big push throughout the line are the enhanced AI features and functionality. Among them:
- LG deploys Advanced AI algorithms to control each lighting zone to deliver “enhanced performance”
- AI Picture Pro is used to optimize the detail, depth, and accuracy of the on-screen content
- AI Object Enhancer is able to identify and enhance faces, bodies, and other key scene elements for greater detail and a more-natural looking image
- An AI Picture/Sound Wizard feature will offer up personalized audio and video settings by analyzing over 1.6 billion image settings and 40 million sound profiles, tailoring it to the user’s preferences
- The AI button on the AI Magic Remote gives the user “intuitive voice recognition” and improved navigation control, allowing the remote’s pointer to work like a computer mouse
- And, bordering on the realm of creepy, the AI Voice ID feature will recognize the user’s voice and switch to that user’s profile automatically and offer up personalized content recommendations.
The highlight of the QNED evo TV lineup is the QNED9M, which ships with True Wireless technology, an experience that allows for wireless transmission of audio and video – a feature that was previously exclusive to LG’s OLED evo M series. By connecting to the Zero Connect Box, the QNED9M TVs can transmit audio and video wirelessly at up to 144Hz without loss of quality or any latency issues.Check out the full lineup over on the LG site.
