Some things in life just make sense. And the recently announced merger of SAVI Controls and OliverIQ happens to be one of those things. The brands come together under the new SAVI iQ banner with a promise to deliver the “first AI-driven, cloud-based automation and support platform” designed for both commercial and residential integrators.

That’s a mouthful, but simplified, SAVI iQ is going to help integrators provide exceptional and seamless service to their clients, no matter the size of their project.

Prior to merging, SAVI Controls developed an all-in-one platform that provides commercial clients simple yet sophisticated control over their unique spaces – be it a restaurant, bar, office, stadium, or retail space. OliverIQ, for its part, build an intelligent home automation platform that has allowed consumers and integrators to build unique in-home experiences that can be remotely monitored and serviced.

The combined company, SAVI iQ, will bring the best of both brands together, creating a unified platform that will deliver benefits to both the commercial- and residential-grade clients. In addition, there will likely be opportunities for new product development and new recurring revenue streams.

“We have tremendous synergies in both our product and technology roadmaps, as well as our focused dedication to helping integrators and service providers delight their customers,” Glen Mella, Chief Revenue Officer at SAVI iQ, told Residential Tech Today in an emailed statement. “Integrators with a vision of scaling their businesses and offering the benefits of Intelligent, AI-driven automation to hundreds or thousands of home and business owners, have an exciting, innovative platform to offer their residential, commercial, and MDU customers.”

A major component of the combined company is going to be the intelligent automation agent known as Ollie – OliverIQ’s powerful, service-providing chatbot. Residential integrators who offer the platform can speak to Ollie’s ability to help reduce service calls, allowing their teams to remain focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience.

“Our team has successfully delivered leading automation solutions for decades to customers around the globe, and the new SAVI iQ intends to continue that legacy,” Mella told RTT. “Our dealer partners can expect us to push the boundaries on AI and Intelligent commercial and residential automation solutions, to help them scale their businesses and drive profitable growth.”
