With the aim to meet the needs of the modern audio- and cinephile consumer, Indy-based audio manufacturer Acurus has rolled out two new powerful and compact products. The M8X and M4X amplifiers are designed to help deliver high-powered and precise audio experiences in an in-home cinema or media room, the company said, while complementing their existing lineup of next-gen USA-built product.
The aptly named amps provide 8-channels and 4-channels that can deliver up to 200W of power per channel. The new models feature proprietary Acurus precision-balanced input gain stages, which ensure “detailed audio reproduction” with minimal distortion.
“The M8X and M4X reflect our dedication to marrying perfect sound reproduction with modern smart-home control,” Ted Moor, cofounder and CTO of Acurus, said in a statement. “These amplifiers bring music and cinematic experiences to life, offering incredible channel count flexibility along with time-tested Acurus reliability.”
On the control side, the amps feature RS-232 and Ethernet options for seamless integration into any in-home system. They also have built-in web control, which provides integrators and end users a seamless configuration and remote diagnostics experience.
Acurus said the two new amps can be a perfect partner for their existing MUSE 16-channel and ACT 4 20-channel preamp processors, allowing users to create “breathtaking soundscapes.”
The M8X carries a $5,999 price tag, while the M4X comes in at $4,499. Both products are backed by a 5-year warranty.
