Airthings Launches View Pollution and View Radon Indoor Air Quality Monitors

February 24th, 2022 Jeremy Glowacki

Airthings, creators of indoor air quality and radon monitors for homeowners, businesses, and professionals, has added the View Pollution and View Radon indoor air quality monitors to its flagship View series.

“The View Series offers the most accurate monitoring while being easy to use. Through advanced analytics and smart notifications, anyone can access the most essential air quality information for their home, workplace, or other indoor environment,” said Oyvind Birkenes, CEO of Airthings. “We are living in a time where air quality is a real threat to the health and wellbeing of people around the globe. The best way to combat this is through information that empowers us to make small but impactful changes.”

The View series product line addresses major health concerns such as pollution, radon, and indoor air quality.

View Pollution ($199) is Airthings’ first product that is primarily dedicated to measuring particulate matter. Measuring both PM 1.0 and 2.5, View Pollution tracks the particle size range that poses the most direct risk to a person’s health, long with temperature and humidity.

View Pollution is ideal for city dwellers, who are most frequently exposed to pollutants caused by the presence of construction activity, vehicle exhaust, and airborne chemicals. It’s also a great solution for residents with fireplaces or who live in wildfire-prone areas and at an increased risk of breathing in smoke, which can be very harmful to those with respiratory conditions such as allergies and asthma.

View Radon ($199) was designed to be the most advanced radon monitor on the market. It features radon sensor technology the company says is the most accurate, robust, and sustainably-designed on the market.

View Plus ($299) is the ultimate do-it-all device, monitoring for the omnipresent threat of radon, carbon dioxide, pollution, wildfire smoke, viruses, and allergens, making it the best option for those looking to maximize the amount of air quality information at their fingertips.

All View Series devices have a calm-tech screen, are wireless, and offer access to data through the Airthings app and online dashboard. View Plus and View Pollution have a battery life of up to two years and View Radon extends it even further to three years, even with Wi-Fi connectivity.

Airthings also has released View Plus and View CO2, which are specifically designed for schools, offices, restaurants, or other commercial buildings. These devices have up to a 10-year battery lifetime and connect to the cloud with cellular networks through the Airthings Hub.

The View for Business series of devices can be used for monitoring and for real-time HVAC control through a Building Management System (BMS). They host additional features and analytics that provide facility managers, HVAC specialists, and building professionals with a simple solution to improve energy efficiency and air quality of buildings.

View Plus is now available and shipping to customers worldwide. View Pollution ($199 USD) and View Radon ($199 USD) will be made available for pre-order in the coming months and will begin shipping to customers in the spring.
