Respected throughout the shading industry as an innovator in specialty angled, arched, and curved Lutron roller and honeycomb window shades, DEL Motorized Solutions is now at the forefront of Lutron shade concealment cavities and components.
Perfect Fit is a division of DEL Motorized Solutions, which produces specialty shaped Lutron shades that fully retract, preserving the intended design of architectural windows which add a touch of sophistication to the space. By precisely matching the window shape, these shades furnish optimal light control.
Imagine installing Lutron shades without needing to use a drill. No drilling means to mess and no clean up. Motorized Solutions has created Perfect Fit mud-in recessed pockets that were designed to revolutionize the way Lutron window shades are concealed and installed.
The Perfect Fit mud-in pocket is a new addition to Motorized Solution’s Lutron shade and drapery track concealment collection offering a comprehensive solution for their dealers. Together, the company’s Lutron shading and Perfect Fit cavities provide a holistic and streamlined solution.
Previously, Motorized Solutions products catered to Lutron shading solutions for architecturally shaped or unusual window openings. With the introduction of Perfect Fit mud-in cavities, Motorized Solutions is now able to address the needs that their dealers have in designing and concealing shades.
Installing the window covering inside of the ceiling offers several aesthetic and functional benefits:
- Hiding shades and drapery tracks conceals the hardware and wires, creating a minimalist and uncluttered appearance, making the fabric seem to float from the ceiling.
- By eliminating the visible bulky shades and drapery tracks, recessing window treatments allows for more natural light to enter the room.
In their 50 years in the shading industry, Motorized Solutions has installed tens of thousands of shades for their wholesale dealer partners throughout the New York and Philadelphia markets and have experienced first-hand the challenges that uneven, out-of-level, and out-of-square drywall openings produce.
Perfect Fit, which was designed in the United States, manufactured in the United Stated, stocked in the United States, was created by shade professionals to solve the problems that frequently occur when recessing Lutron shades and drapery tracks in constructed openings. Far too often, Motorized Solutions has found imperfections in construction, which are then emphasized when a standard recessed pocked or flap and hanger is installed.
Traditionally, a builder would frame and then create a cavity using MDF or drywall to accept a standard pocket or flap and hanger. This inner cavity is necessary to seal the opening to meet fire codes and eliminate dust penetration and loss of HVAC. Creating this shade opening to with precision is no easy task.
The need for this tedious and ineffective construction method is now over. Perfect Fit Lutron mud-in pockets simplify the difficult task of constructing the cavity. Solid extrusions have mud flanges on both sides so that they can easily be inserted into a simple framed opening during construction in one piece, ensuring a perfectly square and solid surface. Perfect Fit pockets reduce the Lutron shade installation time by more than 50%.
Motorized Solutions’ mud-in pockets have the Lutron sub-bracket extruded into the pocket. This integrated bracket eliminates the need to install the Lutron sub bracket.
Additionally, Motorized Solutions has taken into consideration the struggle that the shade dealer or builder faces when needing to cut a pocket to size. The Perfect Fit mud-in pocket was designed modular, allowing the pocket to be disassembled so that it can be trimmed without using a large saw. Perfect Fit cavities produce crisp, clean, and straight ceiling lines to any recessed shade application.
Optional accessories include mud-in end caps, pre-made inside and outside corners, and flap levelers.
