Integrated Fiber Platform has added to its line of IFP Connect network infrastructure products. The company’s newest products enable rack-mounting and power distribution for 16 transceivers.

The IFP 8-Port Fiber Optic Switch is a 1RU space component that can be rack-mounted for front side AV or IT connections depending on access needs. One side provides eight SC-type fiber optic ports for single-mode fiber runs to IFP fiber transceivers while the other side provides two RJ45 ports for incoming ISP and a link for additional switches.

The IFP rackmount power distribution unit is also available. The convenience of a single power distribution unit (PDU) supporting 16 pairs of 18-2 for 12VDC power to IFP fiber transceivers in a 1RU space component saves time and rack space.

The PDU includes a removable 120V IEC-type power cord for professional installation. LEDs display the voltage being delivered to each transceiver for convenient system monitoring. IFP fiber transceivers are available as single-gang 4 port and 1 port and PoE+ in-line modules. Each transceiver may be located up to 1000 feet from the IFP fiber switch and PDU.

“As requested by our dealers, IFP continues to innovate solutions for integrators that make it easy for them to design and install fiber network infrastructure instead of maxed-out category cable,” said Eric Crawford, founder and president. “Our rack-mount designs for the head-end fiber switch and power distribution give integrators robust, centrally located products for convenient cable management, servicing.”

The IFP Connect design premise that integrators should prewire network infrastructure with fiber rather than category cable ensures maximum network speed and eliminates the need for future infrastructure cabling upgrades.

“We want to save integrators time and give them a network infrastructure solution that will service their clients robustly for years to come,” Crawford said.

IFP Connect reaches its integrators via the company’s online dealer webstore. Interested dealers may register online here.
