Marantz has introduced two new products to its portfolio of high-performance hi-fi components — the CD 50n Networked CD Player and the MODEL 50 integrated amplifier.
The CD 50n Networked CD Player is the latest addition to the brand’s long-established heritage in CD player design. The CD 50n is perfectly partnered by the new Marantz MODEL 50 Integrated Amplifier, an all-analog design combining exceptional realism and transparency with a purist approach sure to find favor with vinyl devotees.
The resulting combination is a harmoniously designed and contemporary hi-fi system blending what the company calls timeless elegance and outstanding performance with all the flexibility and cutting-edge technology that redefines modern musical luxury at its price point.
The new Marantz CD 50n is both a top-quality compact disc player and a high-resolution networked audio playback source, offering high-quality support for a wide range of digital music sources. It features a world-class ESS Sabre DAC plus custom-designed Marantz Musical Digital Filters, giving a clear and detailed sound with all forms of digital audio. Thanks to the provision of multiple digital inputs plus network access via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, the CD 50n can also support high-resolution music files sent either directly via digital audio connections or streamed over your home network using its built-in HEOS music streaming platform.
Music streaming from mobile devices is also available via Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, and AirPlay2, while home entertainment enthusiasts can even connect their TV audio into the CD 50n via HDMI ARC. The result is an exceptionally versatile digital music source player perfectly suited to contemporary living and capable of offering fantastic sound quality whatever you want to spin, stream or watch.
The Marantz MODEL 50 integrated amplifier takes inspiration from the proven platform of its sibling, the Marantz MODEL 40n, and is the perfect choice for those seeking the warmth, resolution, and ample dynamics of an all-analog integrated amplifier. With 70w per channel of high-current Class A/B power, it strikes the ideal balance between elegant, contemporary design and the musicality expected from any Marantz amplifier.
The MODEL 50’s current delivery capability stems from its High Current Output architecture based on parallel push/pull pairs of output devices, coupled with a substantial toroidal power supply and carefully laid out internal signal path topography designed to minimize internal impedance losses.
Coupled to the latest iteration of Marantz’s HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) technology, the MODEL 50 offers a combination of low distortion, effortless power and all the accuracy, transparency and musicality that marks Marantz amplifiers out as the some of the most highly regarded designs in the category. The pure analog configuration, including a very high-quality MM Phono stage, also ensures great results when partnered with vinyl sources — although of course, when connected to its CD 50n sibling, the MODEL 50 can also access a host of additional digital audio sources, all delivered in the highest possible quality.
Thr CD 50n and MODEL 50 have also been developed to work in perfect harmony with each other; their refined industrial design language reflects Marantz’s continued quest for luxurious, premium audio experiences. Both models feature crystal-clear fascia displays — including the iconic Marantz porthole display on the MODEL 50 amplifier — while the remote control supplied with each component is able to operate its sibling just as well, ensuring effortless usability.
Marantz’s new CD 50n and MODEL 50 are available from October 24 for $1800 each at Marantz.com and from selected retailers.
