ProSource, the largest audio, video, and integration buying group in the United States, has moved up the launch of the ProSource University Learning Management System from early summer to May 4 and is offering free access for all ProSource members through September 30.

ProSource University is the industry’s first platform to offer exclusive ProSource training, a comprehensive repository of vendor trainings, as well as access to CEDIA educational content.

“No one could have anticipated the current situation, but we knew we needed to develop a more robust digital platform for our members to offer an efficient and flexible education and training program that could be accessed upon demand,” said Dave Workman, CEO and president of ProSource. “We’re fortunate that we already had the framework in place and a supportive community of members and vendors. Last summer, we authorized a multimillion-dollar investment to support the group’s initiatives for providing education, training, and employee retention. This shift to a digital platform will help us fill the need for quality education and training now while providing members with incredible support for years to come.”

ProSource University had been in beta phase since the beginning of the year with 300 participants providing feedback, and it will continue to evolve based on ongoing input. ProSource University’s centralized platform houses category-specific training modules, including the ProSource exclusive Lighting Technology Certification, new employee onboarding, technician training, sales, operations, project management content, and more. It also offers exclusive access to the entire catalog of CEDIA Education content.ProSource University

ProSource is working with all of the organization’s vendor partners to ensure a one-stop shop for all group education content. Vendors are importing currently available courses and building additional content with enthusiastic support.

The platform will also include robust analytics to track employees’ usage of course content with the real-time student monitoring tool. For vendor partners, it tracks which courses and certifications company employees have completed.

“ProSource University is incredibly valuable,” said Jeff Blundell, manager, technical operations, ESC-T/D, at ListenUp. “Managers will appreciate that it provides a guided path for various roles that can be personalized for our organization. Instructors and supervisors, the content can be assigned to employees for their individual scenarios with easy oversight by the supervisory team. For learners, it is easy to navigate and gives a sense of accomplishment in addition to the valuable content.”

“In my work with the Education Committee at ProSource, the engagement has been nothing short of amazing,” commented Mark DiPietro, managing partner, at SoundVision, LLC. “It is of paramount importance to deliver a quality product that saves time and money in getting new team members up to speed or current team members to another level. In my opinion, ProSource University delivers!”
