Residential Tech Today (RTT), published by Innovative Properties Worldwide, is pleased to announce that Rob Stott has been appointed as Executive Editor.

“We are thrilled to welcome Rob as the Executive Editor of Residential Tech Today,” said Charles Warner, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Innovative Properties Worldwide. “He brings fresh, executable ideas for compelling content and media coverage of the smart home and CEDIA industry. Rob’s expertise and vision will propel RTT into the future, ensuring we continue to serve our clients and readers at the highest level.”

Rob is a 15-year veteran of the editorial and communications industry. For the past five and a half years, he served the independent retail and custom integration channels as a part of Nationwide Marketing Group, most recently serving as Associate Director of Communications Marketing. In the role he oversaw and led the execution of the organization’s content and thought leadership strategy. While at NMG, Rob helped expand the group’s digital media footprint, launched the Independent Thinking Podcast, the first podcast focused solely on the independent retail channel, recorded and produced over 240 episodes, and stood up the Independent Thinking blog.

Prior to his time at NMG, Stott spent 5 years at CT Lab and NAPCO Media, the owners of Dealerscope, Connected Design and Technology Integrator magazines, where he served as Editorial Director for those publications.

“Storytelling has always been a passion of mine and is at the heart of what I try to do, no matter where I’m gifted the opportunity to do so,” said Rob. “I’m ecstatic to get things rolling at this well-established and highly regarded publication. There is so much momentum around what the team here has built, and I can’t wait to see what kinds of new and exciting things we’re able to accomplish together.”
