Control and automation manufacturer RTI and Milan-based Black Nova have announced that Black Nova smart design keypads now integrate with the RTI control platform. The integration enables Black Nova ALBA, ARIA, Black Jack, and AXES series keypads to be configured to control and monitor any device connected to an RTI processor.

“The integration between RTI and Black Nova is the perfect combination of exceptional customization with elegant design,” said Neal Ellsworth, director of product management at RTI. “For luxury residential, hotel, and commercial installations where the sophisticated design of the Black Nova keypad is an obvious benefit, they can still enjoy the intuitive and fully customized experience that the RTI system delivers.”

The new Black Nova driver works with all possible button combinations supported by Black Nova to control lighting and climate, with separate events for Press, Hold, and Release for each button in the keypad. The RTI system can dynamically set the backlight LED state and color. The integration enables controlling and monitoring of any HVAC system connected to an RTI processor, with integer-to-integer value conversion and string-to-integer replacement for HVAC parameter displays.

“Dealers have been requesting this RTI integration so they can match the incomparable aesthetic of the Black Nova switches with the level of advanced automation enabled by RTI,” said Black Nova CEO Olav Beruto. “Across the ALBA, ARIA, Black Jack, and AXES design families, all touch points on every switch can be set to trigger a control, automation, or scene within the RTI system.”

The new driver is available to authorized RTI dealers at the RTI driver store and directly within the RTI Integration Designer 11 control application programming software.
