With an eye on providing the best-possible energy efficiency experience to their users, Savant announced a new integration with ClimateMaster geothermal heat pump systems. The partnership will bring the convenience of Savant’s full climate control experience right to the Savant app, giving Savant users with a ClimateMaster heat pump system the added benefit of being able to create customized climate control routines.
“Savant’s best-in-class control experience is a perfect match with ClimateMaster’s geothermal HVAC technology, providing homeowners with an energy efficient climate system that works in concert with Savant’s award-winning energy management solution,” Bryce Judd, Chief Revenue Officer at Savant, said in a statement announcing the integration. “Savant’s smart panel, flexible load management technology, and award-winning app provide consumers with the means to live both comfortably and efficiently.”
The integration will also provide some added benefits to HVAC contractors, allowing them to configure the heat pump separate from the customized Savant control setup that’s managed by the integrator.
Savant explained that these geothermal heat pumps use the “consistent temperature from the ground” to provide heating or cooling to the home. Flexible piping is inserted into the ground and is designed to bring natural warmth into the home during cooler months and remove heat during warmer summer months by transferring the heat into or out of the ground. That design results in a “comfortable living space year-round” that also can significantly reduce the amount of energy used and lower the consumer’s monthly utility bill compared to a traditional HVAC system.
Expanding Network
The past 12 months have been busy in the partnership department for the team at Savant. As the platform looks to continue expanding its offering to homeowners, we’ve seen integrations with a number of different brands. Among them, a solar power partnership with Sunder Energy, a smart luxury appliance program with Monogram Appliances, and the launch and continued expansion of the EcoBalance program with GE Appliances.
Each program or integration has been grounded in Savant’s efforts to establish itself as a leading smart home platform that empowers the end user to control their energy, lighting, security, and automation journey.
