Somfy has announced the North American launch of the DecoFlex Wirefree Surface Keypad, which controls automated interior and exterior shades and solar protections from the same controller.
The DecoFlex Wirefree Surface is the newest addition to Somfy’s DecoFlex family of wall switches. This keypad is ideal for interior and exterior applications with an IP54 rating and allows for easier installation with surface-mounting capabilities, and a modern design with custom button-engraving options.

The new keypad communicates directly with Radio Technology Somfy (RTS), Somfy’s exclusive control platform that enables users to adjust motorized blinds, shades, awnings, and exterior screens. The seamless integration capabilities of the 5-channel device provide a simple installation process and the ability for end users to customize up to five individual or groups of interior and exterior RTS motors.
“The beautifully slim design of the DecoFlex Wirefree Surface enhances the aesthetics of any space,” stated Amit Parpani, senior product manager, Somfy North America. “This is the first surface mount keypad with an IP54 rating, enabling it to control interior and exterior applications, plus, it uses the RTS programming that customers are already familiar with. The keypad can be configured to a standard decora style plate or a custom surface mount plate that gives the illusion that the keypad is floating, allowing it to match or enhance the design of any room.”
