Discrete audio manufacturer Sonance announced their acquisition of Denmark-based brand Blaze Audio. In a statement, Sonance said the acquisition centers around Blaze’s award-winning PowerZone Connect Network and PowerZone Control DSP software platform, alongside the Dante-enabled amplifier series—technologies that will complement the Sonance product line with scalable, network-connected audio solutions.

“This is about more than just expanding our product portfolio,” Ari Supran, CEO of Sonance, said in the statement. “It’s about bringing together two companies that share a commitment to quality, innovation, and customer-first thinking. Blaze Audio brings a bold, focused amplifier lineup and adds sound reinforcement loudspeakers that help fill out the Sonance Professional loudspeaker range. This combination will help us push the boundaries of how integrated audio can perform and look across professional, residential, and marine applications.”
Blaze Audio is known for its professional-grade amplification solutions, which has allowed it to play a major role in shaping Denmark’s reputation as a region known for meticulously engineered audio systems.
For Sonance, the move to acquire Blaze will allow their team to explore growth opportunities in more commercial spaces like hospitality, retail, and other corporate environments.
“Blaze Audio’s complete lineup of amplifiers and loudspeakers empowers us to deliver comprehensive audio solutions that better serve our global customers,” Mike Sonntag, Chief Revenue Officer for Sonance, said in the statement. “With this addition, Sonance aims to make it easier than ever for our dealers to specify complete systems from a single trusted partner.”
As for the Blaze team and European offices, Sonance did say that it would maintain the status quo with the brand, which will bring the Sonance product lines closer to customers in that market. In addition, they acknowledged that the acquisition brings them into closer alignment with Pascal A/S, the parent company of Blaze, which will allow the two entities to explore other long-term collaboration opportunities.
“Blaze Audio was born out of Pascal’s passion for high-quality installed sound,” Gustaf Høskuldsson, CEO of Pascal, said in the statement. “We are thrilled to see Blaze join forces with Sonance, a company that shares our dedication to engineering, design, and delivering compelling user experiences. We believe this is the ideal home for Blaze to flourish further.”
Sonance and Blaze Audio will be on hand at InfoComm 2025 in Orlando, June 11-13, in a shared space (Booth 6872). Infocomm attendees will also have the opportunity to see and experience how the two brands will bring their products to life together in a dedicated demo space (Demo Room W232A).
