Under the CEDIA Expo 2024 theme “Dante Comes Home,” SoundTube will showcase its complete residential ecosystem of Dante-enabled products from input and source control to IP-enabled PoE speakers — all run on a network via category cable.
SoundTube believes that the time is right for the residential tech integration channel to embrace Dante-enabled networked audio systems. The company is looking to provide CEDIA Expo 2024 attendees with insights on implementing a complete Dante network audio system through training and intuitive products.
SoundTube is the new umbrella brand for all residential and commercial product lines from the previously named MSE Audio, which encompasses PhaseTech, Rockustics, Induction Dynamics, dARTS, SolidDrive, and Soundsphere product lines. SoundTube will still maintain separate sales forces for residential and commercial channels, ensuring dedicated support for each market.
The company’s Dante ecosystem brings flexibility and scalability to home installations. From system management via a web server and the ability to remotely monitor and setup, the system saves installation time/costs while delivering uncompressed high-quality sound. Centralized control is achieved through a single interface, integrating seamlessly with home automation systems like Control4, Crestron, QSC and others. The ecosystem also offers wide compatibility, working with over 4,000 Dante-enabled products from 600+ manufacturers.
SoundTube’s Dante-enabled product lineup features the new 16×16 DSP controller; the DSM-16 System Manager. The system also includes SoundTube’s Dante-enabled PoE in-ceiling speakers eliminating the need for multi-zone amplifiers and offers unmatched flexibility for zoning and rezoning system architecture. Dante-enabled PoE speakers are also available in surface mount, sound bar, pendant, and outdoor models.
The SoundTube Dante-enabled audio over IP systems offers integrators and homeowners unparalleled sound quality and flexibility. Each speaker is bi-amped with crossovers, equalization and time correction all done in the digital domain prior to amplification. The blend of refined technology, user-friendly operation, and efficient local and remote management aligns with the evolving needs of modern, connected residences.
SoundTube is also launching two new multichannel amplifiers, the MCA7004t and MCA10004t that integrate Dante network capabilities, making them ideal for a wide range of professional audio applications, including performing arts centers, theaters, gyms, hotels, convention centers, shopping malls, retail stores, and restaurants.
The MCA7004t and MCA10004t amplifiers deliver robust power outputs of 700W and 1000W per channel at 4 ohms, respectively. Designed to accommodate both low impedance and constant voltage output modes, these amplifiers offer configurations of 100V, 70V, 16Ω, 8Ω, and 4Ω, ensuring versatile application across various audio setups.
Each amplifier features a 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen on the front panel for straightforward access to gain controls, input matrixing, and output mode selection. The amplifiers are equipped with the STNet MCA Control software, allowing users to perform real-time monitoring of the amplifier’s status and manage extensive DSP functions including compression, limiting, noise gating, parametric equalization, matrix routing, delay, and more.
Dante-enabled audio over IP technology makes these amplifiers not only competitive in price with traditional 70v systems but also significantly easier to install and set up. This integration supports a wide range of input sources including analog, AES3 digital audio, and Dante network inputs, enhancing flexibility in how installations can be managed and scaled.
At CEDIA, Ken Hecht, senior VP at SoundTube, and Tim Hall, senior director of sales for Dante parent company Audinate, will present a specialized training course titled, “Networked Audio is the Future of Distributed Home Audio” on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM in Room 111 of the Denver Convention Center.
The session will explore the advantages of using Dante-enabled networked audio systems and provide attendees with valuable insights on implementing a complete Dante network audio system. As the audio industry continues to evolve, SoundTube and Dante recognize the growing importance of networked solutions in both residential and commercial settings.
Key topics to be covered in the training include the benefits of networked audio in distributed home audio systems; understanding Dante technology and its applications in the home; and best practices for designing and implementing Dante-enabled audio systems.
The training is designed for home technology professionals, custom integrators, and AV specialists looking to expand their knowledge and stay ahead in the rapidly changing audio landscape.
