Formerly known as WAC-STRUT, VENTRIX is the evolution of WAC’s modular linear lighting, control, and power system. The company’s previous product names weren’t unique enough to differentiate the modular linear lighting system in the marketplace, so they renamed it VENTRIX, as a combination of “venture” and “matrix.” The lighting line, the company says, is “a dynamic, expansive ‘venture’ into architectural lighting solutions that offer a comprehensive ‘matrix’ of adaptable grid and linear options for any high-end space.
The team at WAC has been developing further iterations and expanding the product portfolio, constructing an architectural lighting system that “transcends the ordinary.” The VENTRIX system solves the most demanding illumination challenges with modular linear and recessed grid ceiling applications designed for commercial and residential spaces.
Individually powered and controlled lighting elements are configured on customizable channel systems that can be modified directly on site to adapt to changing preferences or needs. There is no waiting for custom lead times; it’s easy to tailor VENTRIX to fit the space, according to WAC.
The VENTRIX system is protected by many patents and patent applications. The protocol-agnostic VENTRIX System features customizable, field-cuttable channels with lighting elements operating autonomously and in groups. VENTRIX Connect includes versatile connectors, which are the building blocks of the system. VENTRIX Elements include SILO pendant, STEALTH SILO, and FOLLOWME fixtures.
This scalable configuration was created as a future-proof way to fulfill a designer’s vision and last-minute design decisions, the company says.
