It’s too late to finish watching The Office on Netflix. With the favorite comfort-watch show moving to NBC’s Peacock on January 1, one streaming platform’s loss is another’s gain.
According to Joe Flint and Amol Sharma of the Wall Street Journal, The Office was Netflix’s number one streaming show, boasting three percent of total viewership on the platform. The loss of The Office and Friends, which moved to Peacock a year ago, will free up more resources for original programming.

Every month, shows and movies come and go from streaming platforms due to licensing agreements. While some, like The Office, are leaving to join other services, others simply may go dark for a while. Though you could still catch the first two seasons of The Office – without a subscription – on Peacock, you might want to check out the shows and movies listed below before they’re gone from Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon’s Prime Video later in January 2021.
