URC has been very busy creating two-way IP integration for multiple brands. The smart automation and control brand has launched modules for integration of its Total Control system with Lutron’s new QSX HomeWorks processors, Russound MBX Streaming Audio Solutions, Flo by Moen Smart Water Shutoff, and Fusion Research Solo and Duet Music servers.
URC Module for Lutron
The Lutron module (pictured above), which can be used to integrate with Lutron’s HQP7-1 and HQP7-2 processors, is available today to authorized URC installers via URC’s dealer portal.
The integration of Lutron HomeWorks QSX processer with URC’s Total Control smart automation and control system allows URC Total Control authorized dealers can combine a Lutron Radio RA2 and Radio RA2 Select system into a single interface on a URC Total Control touch screen, with all room and zone names populated with the data received from the LEAP protocol.
Lutron’s HomeWorks QSX processor offers upgraded processing power and memory to support future features and enhancements, making it easier for dealers to design, install, activate, program and service Lutron HomeWorks. URC will be adding support for Lutron’s Ketra system in August 2020.
URC Module for Russound
This new Russound module supports both the Russound MBX AMP and MBX PRE models, which both feature streaming services from Spotify Connect, Tidal, Sirius XM, Deezer, TuneIn, and vTuner. Homeowners can easily select and control songs, playlists and favorites, view metadata, browse content, and manage groups. Homeowners can also set and recall favorite songs or playlists directly from any URC Total Control Interface.
Russound’s MBX-AMP is a full-featured streaming audio player with a built-in amplifier; the MBX-PRE is a preamp-only (non-amplified) version designed to be the perfect streaming audio source for Russound’s MCA-Series amplifiers/controllers like the MCA-66 and MCA-88. URC announced a module to control Russound’s MCA-Series amplifiers / controllers last November.
URC Module for Flo by Moen
The Flo by Moen Smart Water Shutoff is the industry-leading leak detection and water monitoring device from Flo by Moen. Installed on the main water supply line, the device protects the entire home from water damage and leaks by continuously and proactively monitoring the home’s water pressure, flow rate and temperature. Using Flo by Moen’s proprietary MicroLeak technology, the Smart Water Shutoff runs daily health tests to identify any leak within pipes. If a leak is detected, a pop-up message will appear on all URC Total Control user interfaces to alert the homeowner. The homeowner can then choose to shut the water off to the house via the Total Control touch screens or the smartphone app.
URC Module for Fusion Research
The combination of URC’s Total Control system, Fusion Research’s DMS Distributed Audio system and Fusion Solo and Duet music servers provides a compelling value proposition for commercial and residential installs. Authorized URC direct dealers in the U.S. now can purchase Fusion Research Solo and Duet music servers from URC for end user sales to the commercial integration and custom home integration channels via URC’s Dealer Portal. Additionally, an all-new two-way IP module will be available for download from the URC Dealer Portal for seamless integration with URC’s Total Control smart automation and control system.
Fusion’s music servers support native integration with SoundMachine, Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, and TuneIn, so the end user can browse and select content from any URC Total Control user interface without having to use a third-party application.
