Coastal Source Pathfinder Speakers Fill Gaps in Outdoor Audio

At CEDIA Expo in Denver, Coastal Source introduced Pathfinder, a patented omni-directional loudspeaker that enhances the outdoor experience by providing durable high-performance sound in a unique, discrete design for all traditionally bypassed outdoor areas, such as pathways, side gardens, and gazebos.

“To date, outdoor audio has mainly focused on a home’s primary entertainment areas, such as backyards, pools, firepits, patios, and tennis courts,” explained Coastal Source CEO Franco D’Ascanio. “However, as soon as you walk away from these areas the sound drops and the fun stops. Pathfinder solves this problem with a patented, discrete speaker that provides high-quality omni-directional sound to all the fill-in spaces of a property where music would normally be missed.”

Available for immediate delivery to dealers in a four-pack carrying a suggested retail price of $1,400.00 and a five-year manufacturer warranty, Pathfinder is designed to seamlessly integrate into any Coastal Source Plug+Play high-performance audio system. Installers can quickly and easily twist, connect, and lock the cable to the speaker with no tools, soldering, or chance of a bad connection. Pathfinder can be integrated with outdoor lighting, irrigation, or security to reduce outdoor technology clutter.

A 32-ohm design enables eight (8) Pathfinder speakers to be driven on 1-channel of a Coastal Source amplifier thus offering installers the complete flexibility to deploy numerous Pathfinder speakers across the property to ensure the music never stops. Installers can complement multiple Pathfinders with a Coastal Source subwoofer for a complete musical experience.

“For many years, consumers have been placing indoor in-ceiling speakers in their hallways, bathrooms, and entry ways,” D’Ascanio explained. “These playback systems enable indoor music to fill the entire home so that your entertainment is not just relegated to the main living areas. Pathfinder is the world’s first speaker designed to provide the same experience in an outdoor environment.”
