DMF Lighting Design Awards Seeks Best Projects for 2021

March 11th, 2021 Residential Tech Today

DMF Lighting, the supplier of modular downlighting for the custom home integration channel, has announced that the 2021 DMF Design Awards are now open for submissions through April 17.

One grand prize of $5,000 in cash will be awarded along with four runners-up who will earn DMF products worth $1,000.

The entry categories include Best Residential Application, Best Commercial Application, Best Installation Incorporating DCC Cylinder, Best Use of DMF Lighting for Accent or Task Lighting Application, and Best Use of Multiple DMF Lighting Products.

DMF Lighting Recognizing Innovative Work

“Our goal is to recognize the innovative work of our dealers by featuring their installs in our communications,” said Ruslan Polinovsky, director of marketing at DMF Lighting. “We hope to inspire our network of integrators with the breadth of available DMF solutions by sharing a selection of original photography and compelling success stories.”

Judged by Panel of Experts

The contest entries will be judged by an esteemed roster of experts from the design-build and lighting design communities: Richard Christensen, VP of Estate Homes, Magleby; Maureen Cohen, interior designer, Makawe Interiors; Mark Danesh, DMF Lighting founder and president; Anne Kustner Haser, president, AKLD Lighting Design; and Kami Rezai, founder and president, HiTech Design.

DMF Lighting Adds Portal

DMF also has announced the launch of a purchasing portal exclusive to the CI channel. The portal features the ability to order complete lighting kits, housing, modules, and trim without ever looking at a product number.

The integrator simply selects the type of application, the lighting source features, the preferred visual aesthetic of the trim, and the quantity. The portal automatically ensures compatibility and eliminates errors.

The portal streamlines not only the ordering system but also fulfillment. Most orders ship within two business days. Because DMF has updated the production process to accommodate additional inventory and faster turnaround, some orders will even ship within 24 hours.
