Honeycomb has devised a way for making a traditional business into a smart one, through a software hub that unifies an entire building’s technology onto a single mobile app.
Founded in 2017 by D’Arcy Young, Honeycomb claims to be the first fully integrated operating platform for office buildings.
“Think of Honeycomb as Alexa for work environments,” Young said. “It puts the power of an entire building at the fingertips of its users. It opens garage gates, directs parking, calls elevators, turns on lights, reserves conference rooms, and makes payments easy. The true power of the platform is that the same experience can be provided to the user no matter what office or building they visit. That is the future we have built.”

Honeycomb Adds Flexibility
As corporate offices were making COVID-19-related changes this past year, they had to rethink many of their strategies to continue functioning as businesses. Moving to smaller locations, signing shorter leases, with employees scattered across the state or country has created barriers for receiving information from workers.
Honeycomb integrates any legacy systems onto one platform that can be accessed across multiple networks to streamline the functionality of everyday operations. Having one platform and app to connect all parties in a building generates a lot of data. Honeycomb analyzes the data and finds ways for operators to lower expenses and generate more revenue. All analyzed data is protected, and there is no way to track any information back to a single person.
Honeycomb’s Functions
Honeycomb simplifies connectivity by using a single platform and app to control everything. The app can assist in monetization, including invoicing and payments on things like parking, conference rooms, and more.
The product’s operational control and data-driven insights can also monitor and manage a building system through a control panel as well as its energy consumption. Additionally, there is an intelligent parking feature that can use the company’s lot space more efficiently. The platform can do this in real-time.
The app also has the ability to manage multiple locations at once. Management can control the users, their credentials, and any use of the physical infrastructure.
As Honeycomb collects and analyzes the data that comes back from across their platform, they give access to the business’s portfolio. This portfolio is a list of legitimate and actionable metrics meant to benefit the business’s revenue and spending. It can be accessed at any time and will show real-time NOI data.
