IOGEAR Introduces Value-Targeted Online UPS Battery Back Ups

May 9th, 2022 Jeremy Glowacki

IOGEAR has introduced four new professional online battery backup models: the GBB1000N, GBB1500N, GBB2000N, and GBB3000N. Each model is a high-performance uninterruptible power supply system (UPS) designed for most home theater, recording studio, or server room configurations.

The new models utilize true double conversion pure sine wave battery design with up to 100% power factor efficiency for all the power supplied by the UPS to power-sensitive equipment and output voltage regulation.

Designed in California, the IOGEAR professional online UPS battery backups convert all external AC electricity to DC, then back to clean AC in real-time removing any power imperfections from reaching high-end connected equipment.

The output voltage and frequency on online battery backup systems is the highest level of power protection for any connected device or devices. The IOGEAR battery backup provides cleaner and more stable electricity than the power coming from the power grid or a standard surge protector. Compared to a power conditioner, an online UPS battery backup provides more clean and stable power for home entertainment equipment.

The technology provides security and peace of mind for any user with a high-end home theater setup, recording studio suite, or even a home server setup to protect equipment and data from blackouts, brownouts and power fluctuations beyond acceptable levels. With power sensitive audio and visual equipment or computer systems that you need to keep online, a professional UPS battery back up is a critical component to protect your investments.

IOGEAR online battery backups use a true double conversion design to generate a consistent pure sine waveform output to any connected equipment.

In the event of a disturbance in power in the form of under-voltage or over-voltage conditions, a blackout, or brownout, IOGEAR online backup batteries will intelligently deploy its stored battery power to correct the state and reinstate clean power until power is restored or enable users crucial time to power down connected devices safely. The UPS battery backups have a smart sensor to detect and correct up to 40% to 100% surge capacity, which helps manage devices that could momentarily produce abnormal energy loads.

The benefits to a high-end home theater or recording studio setup are countless to protect equipment from abrupt shutdowns or hardware damage. For users with dedicated local media servers, the UPS battery may prevent hardware damage to server equipment and any data loss. UPS battery systems can also help prolong the life of digital projectors whose expensive bulbs require dedicated cooling sequences to properly shutdown and prevent shortening the hardware’s lifespan.

The battery backups will also prevent any “noise” from outside electrical currents, thus avoiding any “humming” or audio distortions in sound systems or lines in your UHD TV setups. Pure sine wave battery backups are ideal for complex power requirement systems because the battery output is cleaner and more stable than household power.

IOGEAR’s Online UPS features multi-function LCD interfaces for displaying detailed information on input voltage, battery capacity, power status, battery status, operating status, and assessed backup runtime. Users can easily and independently control load segments for critical equipment. During power failure, this feature enables users to extend battery time to mission-critical devices by shutting down noncritical devices.

The key difference between the four models is battery capacity and runtime ranging from 1000VA/1000W to a maximum 3000VA/2850W. The UPS battery backup design also enables daisy chaining external battery packs (sold separately) for extended runtime for each UPS battery system.

IOGEAR online UPS battery backup models feature a swappable battery design allows for complete power module exchange without powering down any connected equipment. With this announcement, IOGEAR is also releasing four external battery packs, available in 24-, 36-, 48-, and 72-volt configurations, which can be daisy chained with the Online UPS battery backups.

The online battery backups MSRPs include $749.95 for GBB1000N with NEMA 5-15P input plug and 8 NEMA 5-15R outlets, $899.95 for GBB1500N with NEMA 5-15P input plug and 8 NEMA 5-15R outlets, $1,199.95 for GBB2000N with NEMA 5-20P input plug and 8 NEMA 5-20R outlets, and $1,599.95 for GBB3000N with   NEMA L5-30P input plug and 6 x NEMA 5-20R, 1 x NEMA L5-30R outlets.
