November 19th, 2018 Jeremy Glowacki

KanexPro, has introduced an HDMI 2.0 to HDBaseT 8×8 Matrix Switcher, the MX-HDBT8X818G, featuring the latest innovations of 4K HDR10 and Dolby Vision.

KanexPro’s 8×8 HDMI 2.0 to HDBaseT Matrix Switcher shifts inputs to outputs over Cat5e/6 utilizing an HDBaseT switcher to deliver 4K/60Hz with HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The HDMI 2.0 Switcher is HDCP 2.2 compliant and supports video resolutions up to 4K2K@60Hz, 4:4:4, and multi-channel digital audio.

Designed for mid-scale applications, such as multi-zone home theaters, houses of worship, and medical imaging, the HDMI 2.0 matrix can be controlled through front-panel buttons, IR, RS-232, Telnet and Web GUI, or custom drivers to control with any third-party integration system, such as Savant, Control4, and Crestron.

“Ideal for premium home theater applications, the HDMI 2.0 to HDBaseT Matrix is designed for a variety of applications including HDR and Dolby Vision providing high-resolution video, a separate audio matrix with uncompressed 4K signals up to 70 meters at a reasonable price,” says Kashyap Khetia, senior product marketing manager for KanexPro. “The HDMI 2.0 to HDBaseT Matrix boasts incredible audio and video features with versatile controlling and functionality.”

The HDMI 2.0 to HDBaseT Matrix Switcher supports independent, built-in 18×12 digital audio matrix with volume and delay tuning. With high resolution digital audio formats, including LPCM 7.1CH, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD Master Audio, the HDMI Switcher transmits uncompressed 4K ultra-HD signals for an enhanced home theater experience. The HDBaseT outputs allow transmission via a single Cat5e/6/7 cable up to 230-feet with PoC and the independent HDMI outputs support cable lengths up to 33 feet.
