Leon Speakers is celebrating its 25th anniversary by launching a new collaboration with visual artist Chris Saunders. The Leon x Chris Saunders Soundwave Series collection features a new set of Artist Edition grilles for the Ente SoundTile, exclusive 25th anniversary merchandise, and a limited-run set of art prints — all launching on the new online Leon Store. Dealers and consumers can celebrate with Leon by purchasing these collection exclusives online and having them delivered directly to their doors.

Saunders’ Artist Edition Ente Soundtile for Sonos Amp, a wall-mounted product that combines art with audio by concealing speakers and amplifiers behind a perforated metal speaker grille with an artwork screen printed on top, is available with four Soundwave Series mandala designs as well as an iconic lion mandala, all created by Saunders. Both the SoundTile and exclusive 25th anniversary merchandise line featuring Saunders’ lion are available now at leonspeakers.com. A limited run of Saunders’ Soundwave Series art prints is also currently available exclusively to Leon dealers and will launch online to the public beginning Black Friday, on November 25, 2022.

“For 25 years, Leon has focused on the intersection of art and audio, and we’ve partnered with numerous artists to elevate our own creativity and inspire new approaches to design,” said Leon Founder and President Noah Kaplan. “What struck me about Chris Saunders’ artwork was his attention to both the super fine details and the bigger subject matter in his pieces. Working closely with him throughout this collaboration reminded me of interactions in our industry, as collectively we aim to deliver a powerful customer experience while making sure every detail is accounted for. We are excited to share this collaboration and celebrate our 25-year milestone with our clients, customers, and friends through Chris’s captivating artwork.”

Saunders’ Leon-exclusive Soundwave Series features four new prints, each inspired by a different genre of music. Signed, numbered and dated prints of “Sound Flower,” “Sound Prayer,” “Sound Mandala,” and “Sound Spore” are available individually or as a set, with a limited total of 44 copies each. Each 24″ x 24” four-color silkscreen piece is printed in Ypsilanti, MI, on BFK Rives Printmaking Paper by VG Kids.

“I really wanted to create a series that was a visual expression of sound, shape, and symmetry,” Saunders said of the new series. “I did a lot of research on sound mandalas and visual shapes that were created from the result of a certain frequency being played.”

You can learn more about this collaboration by checking out our exclusive interview with Chris on the Leon Speakers blog and behind-the-scenes video documenting the project.

Following its launch, the new Leon Store will be updated regularly with new items, new artwork, and limited-edition collections, including Leon’s newly published Brand Book, which is slated for release early next year.
