Modus VR Adds Modus Photo as Companion Application for Project Images

September 14th, 2020 Jeremy Glowacki

Asserting that virtual reality design software is now an essential part of the post COVID residential and commercial installation industry, software innovator Modus VR  plans to unveil a new product and a host of platform updates at 2020 CEDIA Expo Virtual this week. Dealers can register to learn more here.

According to Modus VR Co-Founder Ken Brueck, the company will introduce and demonstrate Modus Photo, a companion application to Modus VR that helps dealers instantly create beautiful project images; updated tools for editing floor plans and rapidly generating line drawings; and new design assistants for projector placement, reverberation and Dolby Atmos speaker placement.

“With much of the world and the custom installation industry still working remotely, the role virtual reality design plays in our industry has never been more critical than it is today,” Brueck said. “It’s now an essential tool that keeps projects moving forward from conceptualization to design to installation. Dealers can combine Modus VR and Zoom to host remote design sessions with clients, and salespeople can practice safe social distancing in Modus VR’s virtual showrooms.  A whole new world of possibilities is now available to our dealers and their customers.”

Amplifying this message, Modus VR Director of Sales Patrick Higaki said that a full schedule of live chats and live-streamed product demonstrations will be offered throughout the three-day virtual CEDIA event. “We’ve created a schedule that will walk dealers through the entire platform and design process, and we’ll show them how easily and quickly they can integrate Modus VR into their business model. We’ll also be giving a sneak peek at some features coming out later this year.”

Modus VR has gained huge momentum in both the residential and commercial custom installation market since making its debut at CEDIA 2018. Over the last year, the company has added new manufacturers to its database, including Acoustic Innovations, Artnovion, Barco, Bowers & Wilkins, Chief, Control4, Crestron, Episode by SnapAV, GoldenEar, JVC, HP Enterprise, iPort by Sonance, Origin Acoustics, Poly, Starke Sound, and Uber Displays.

Used by commercial and residential integrators, Modus VR’s subscription includes unlimited training on delivering a premier customer experience, unlimited access to Modus VR and Modus Photo, frequent software updates, and unlimited technical support.
