Moovia to Debut Bespoke Media Seating at CEDIA Expo

Moovia will make its CEDIA Expo debut, September 5–7, at the Colorado Convention Center in ASCENDO Sound Room 3 and Seymour-Screen Excellence Sound Room 4. Moovia media furniture takes a design-first approach, creating furniture lines that are truly custom and as worldly as the cities for which they are named.

“With our bespoke services, nothing is impossible. When we say bespoke, we not only mean that our clients can choose the armrest size, stitching color, or type of leather they like best. We mean they can create the exact viewing experience they’re looking for, wherever or whatever that might be,” says Frank Dlugos, managing director of Moovia. “Supersizing seats, experimenting with uncharted technologies, or tailoring our furniture to the organic lines of a luxury yacht, for example. We can do anything the client wants.”

Ensuring a luxury experience, Moovia leaves no detail to chance in both design and manufacturing. Design services like 2D and 3D drawings of the seating layout and configuration; inserting Moovia furniture into home theater room CAD drawings; mock-ups of the chosen furniture setup; technical support for preparing, installing, and managing home theater spaces; and photorealistic renderings of the entire space are all included in the bespoke Moovia experience.

Distributed by Sutherland AV Marketing in North America and Canada, Moovia will show its LYON media sofa in a lounge environment in SR3 as part of ASCENDO Immersive Audio’s demonstration at CEDIA Expo.

“LYON is inspired by the enchanting landscapes of the French countryside, capturing the essence of rustic elegance and refined comfort,” said Moovia in-house designer Dorottya Flóra Nagy.

The LYON sofa is modular to fill spaces of any size. Every piece of Moovia furniture is manufactured in its factory, marrying the latest technology with German craftsmanship. Moovia designers work closely with clients to create their ultimate space, helping them select the upholstery from hundreds of premium materials offered by leading European leather, velvet, alcantara, and textile manufacturers, as well as the finest, most durable wood.

While design comes first, LYON includes the best technology media furniture has to offer, including touch-sensitive controls, integration into Crestron, Control4, RTI, and other home automation systems, Moovia SmartApp control, and numerous motorization options.

As part of the Seymour-Screen Excellence home theater demo of a hybrid audio-over-IP system in SR4, Expo attendees can relax in the three rows of Moovia MARBELLA theater seats.

“MARBELLA brings the atmosphere of Andalusia’s breathtaking beaches, harbors, and nightlife, combining simplicity, elegance, and comfort with all the functionality you expect from home theater seating,” Nagy said. “Perfectly blending in with its surroundings, it’s equally at home in the living room, media room, or home theater.”

MARBELLA discreetly hides movie accessories and cables and is outfitted with adjustable headrests, footrests, hidden control buttons, an adjustable slide cover for in-seat storage, and plush, decorative pillows. The client has control of all the available features of the chair, from massage functions to lighting design to seat warming and cooling. In addition to home automation system integration, Moovia’s SmartApp for Android and iOS deftly controls these functions.
