Qobuz, the Hi-Res streaming and download service, has partnered with Control4 to bring certified, 24-bit / 192kHz Hi-Res music streaming to high-end home automation installations.
The partnership will allow all Control4 users (OS 2.10.2 or higher) to upgrade to Hi-Res sound, and, alongside Control4’s acquisition of high-end speaker company Triad, furthers the company’s commitment to bringing users the highest quality experience and the ability to tap into their system’s fullest potentials.
Qobuz, which launched in the U.S. this past February after a decade of success in Europe, has been key in bringing enhanced listening to the wide audience that also demands convenient listening, and now it will be available to those who want that enhanced listening with the added convenience of home automation, as well.
Qobuz Chief Hi-Res Evangelist David Solomon said of the partnership: “We’re thrilled that Control4 is the first automation company putting an emphasis on full and Hi-Res music streaming and we at Qobuz are thrilled to provide the largest HiRes library in the world. Together, we now can offer the ultimate music experience in any room on any Control4 system. Be on the lookout for a HiRes Control4 playlist on Qobuz that will show you just how good audio can sound.”
David Acton, Director of Product Management at Control4 added, “We support high resolution audio from ‘the source to the speaker’ with our line of high quality streamers, switchers, and amplifiers. Qobuz enables us to fully realize the capabilities of our high-res electronics.”
Qobuz will stream on Control4’s EA series (entertainment and automation) controllers and Triad One streaming Amplifier, and, on OS3, users will also be able to see the quality of the tracks they are listening to.
