On Episode 132 of the Residential Tech Today podcast, Eric Joy joins us from Marietta, GA, where he is chief experience officer of the GHT Group. GHT (formerly known as Georgia Home Theater) is a full-service custom electronics design and integration company, serving homeowners and businesses in Buckhead, Alpharetta, Midtown, the greater Atlanta area, and the Florida Panhandle.

The company features a diverse team of world-class technology installation experts, which allows them to be a go-to source for home theater systems, smart home services, commercial automation, home and business security, audio video distribution, and lighting fixtures. GHT also operates a 20,000-square-foot showroom in Marietta allowing clients and business partners to experience the wonders of custom technology first-hand.

Our guest today is a veteran custom integrator, but he also took almost eight years away from that career path to take on a sales role for a legendary loudspeaker manufacturer. Last month, he and Jeremy shared a stage together, discussing lighting technology sales strategies at the second-annual Lightapalooza conference in Glendale, AZ. Here, they continue that conversation and so much more (including an amazingly awful anecdote about a poorly placed coffee maker at an AV showroom (30:00 mark).
