Daisy, the national home technology installation and services company, has announced its expansion into the Boulder and Castle Rock, Colorado markets with the opening of a new franchise that complements the company’s Denver-based location. Much like that Denver outfit, the new Boulder and Castle Rock branch is a recent Daisy-convert following the brand’s September 2024 acquisition of SaaviHome.
The new location will be lead by A.J. Kuhrmeyer, who helped lead the transition from a SaaviHome franchise to one under the Daisy umbrella.
“I’m thrilled to help expand Daisy’s presence in Colorado, a state with immense opportunity in the smart home market,” Kuhrmeyer said in a statement. “My mission is to enhance the quality of life for members of our community by making Boulder’s living spaces smarter and more efficient. With Daisy’s support, we’re already delivering innovative solutions to our clients and looking forward to setting new benchmarks for success in this dynamic industry.”
Kuhrmeyer’s location, which has been in operation since July 2024, will continue to service its existing client base. Now, though, it will have the support systems behind it as part of the national Daisy brand, allowing Kuhrmeyer to focus on continuing to grow the local business. To that end, he’s already grown his team, bringing in a Project Manager and Business Development Manager since adopting the Daisy model.
“A.J.’s proven leadership and rapid learning curve is a great example of the potential for future entrepreneurs entering this industry,” Hagan Kappler, co-founder and CEO of Daisy, said in the statement. “It has been great seeing how A.J.’s talented local team, combined with the Daisy resources and franchise support team, can lead to rapid success. We’re very excited to be serving Boulder customers under A.J.’s leadership.”
Last year, when the branch first opened as part of SaaviHome, Kuhrmeyer told Residential Tech Today that he saw an amazing opportunity to provide tremendous value to the clients in his market. Though he entered the industry with no prior custom integration knowledge, he admitted, finding comfort in the home was a desire he said anyone could relate to.
“I come from a lineage of manufacturing goods designed to improve productivity and consumer lives. This background has instilled in me a drive to use science to make life better,” he told us at the time. “Out in the world, we face storms and troubles, but home is where we find safety and comfort. Technology has advanced to the point where it can significantly enhance our lives. From automated blinds that let in light as you arrive home, to lighting that adjusts to your mood, the possibilities are incredible. Many homeowners might not realize how much these technologies can improve their lives.”
With the addition of the Boulder/Castle Rock location, Daisy is approaching 20 branches across the country.
