iRoom’s tabletop iPad charging/docking stations are now compatible with USB-C and Apple HomeKit. The compatible models are the company’s iTop Pro, iTop Plus, and new iTop Pro USB-C.

The new iTop Pro USB-C for iPad includes a black glass bezel and black anodized base with six assignable quick keys control buttons on the glass bezel. Its upscale design and fit and finish blend are meant to blend into living spaces, an office, or in retail environments. A sliding USB-C connector is provided to accommodate the iPad Pro 11-inch and 12.9-inch USB-C models. An added USB-A port connects any third-party charging station – as Qi wireless charging pads and others.

The iRoom iTop Pro, iTop Plus, and iTop Pro USB-C come with full Apple HomeKit integration, permitting users to control their home/office/retail environments lighting, thermostats, door locks, fans, air conditioning, security systems, audio/video, and more easily through the docks touch buttons.

All iTop models combine a tabletop iPad charging station while controlling home automation applications simultaneously through robust buttons on the glass touch bezel. An adjustable lightning connector matches all iPad models. Its onboard audio jack connects the iPad to any music system. A mechanical code-protected lock secures and protects the iPad from theft.

Existing iTop owners can upgrade these features with a free firmware update. The new iTop Pro USB-C and Apple HomeKit connectivity is scheduled to arrive in the U.S. in mid April. Pre-orders are being taken now.
