The One Collection for All
The XL Collection offers the look of a decent-sized home cinema screen. If you sit six feet away from the TV, it will deliver the same 60-degree look of the commercial movie theaters when you sit in the middle row with center seats. Consumers will also receive instant access to popular channels, offering new movies and curating a personalized screening room to watch all of the family’s favorite movies.
The new collection has includes variable refresh rate and 120Hz HDMI input support, along with THX Certified Game Mode. The combination of TCL and THX mixes decades of finely tuned big-screen gaming experience to create a whole new level.
By creating the immersive visual look of the new collection, consumers get to see beyond the display. The 85R745 TCL Roku TV will feature QLED wide color technology for better brightness and wider color volume. It was measured with 100-percent color volume DCI-P3. This is a match to most cinema screens, providing stunning colors and brightness.
TCL’s Contrast Control Zones Technology
The XL Collections also will feature TCL’s Contrast Control Zones. This feature optimizes the image across individual zones to create a contrast between light and dark areas. Essentially, this is where the TV’s full-array local dimming (FALD) allows the TV to decide to dim or brighten the backlight behind areas that need it depending on the movie scene. Contrast Control Zones were specifically created for 4K Ultra HD picture clarity.
The new TV’s also will have the HDR Pro Pack, so that they can have a true cinema experience at home. Additionally, this comes with color support from Dolby Vision and HDR10 and HLG.
