Crestron Reveals Smart Homes Audio Conference Solution

Smart home tech manufacturer Crestron has introduced a new smart home office companion for your “Zoom Room,” the Crestron Home Audio Conferencing System (UC-MM30-R).

The system is designed to deliver enterprise-quality conferencing, plus complete control of a Crestron Home automation system. The MM30-R is also a home office solution for today’s work-from-home workforce.

Realtor.com recently reported Zoom rooms as the new in-demand housing trend. To be successful, a home office needs robust, reliable technology to make a day of conference calls hassle-free.

Make Your Home Office Into A Zoom Room

The MM30-R will convert any office into a conferencing space. The modern, low-profile design includes a 7-inch high-resolution touch screen, a high-fidelity speaker, and four-microphone array that captures 360-degree, long-range pickup. Colleagues won’t be able to tell whether users are dialing in from home or the corporate office.

The MMR30-R is the dedicated audio device for meetings on a PC or Mac device. From the screen, users control call volume and the entire Crestron Home system, including lights, TVs, security cameras, and more.

How It Works

Customize scenes and schedules made with the Crestron Home system to adjust any combination of devices at once. For example, launching the perfect call setting. With an “On A Call” scene, the lights brighten, shades close, music pauses, and an indicator light outside turns red.

When the call ends, users can tap to start their “Off A Call” scene which deactivates the indicator light, restarts the music, and adjusts the lights and shades. Users can call in using Microsoft Teams or Zoom Rooms, Slack, Google Meet, and other conferencing applications.

“Today’s hybrid workforce has realized they need their home office spaces to provide flexibility, reduced complexity, and the organizational functionality that they have when they are in their workplace, but the current solutions on the market don’t offer enterprise-grade robustness nor integration with high-performance home control solutions,” said John Clancy, Vice President, Residential at Crestron. “The Crestron Home Audio Conferencing System uniquely provides today’s executives the high-performance conferencing solutions they’re used to at work, in their home.”

The MM30-R requires no custom design or programming when added to a Crestron Home system. Connect the system via Wi-Fi or ethernet communication links, with power over ethernet for remote management and monitoring.

The Crestron Home Audio Conferencing System has a $1,500 MSRP and is available for pre-order.
